Indications

Hi-Dex is indicated for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency, as well as for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia. This medication is useful in situations where iron absorption may be compromised, such as in patients with gastrointestinal diseases, or in cases of increased iron demand, such as during pregnancy, lactation, or in patients with chronic hemorrhages. It is also used in patients who require rapid recovery of iron levels, such as after surgical procedures or in those who have suffered trauma. It is important that the use of this medication be supervised by a healthcare professional who can assess the specific needs of each patient.

Composition

Each ampule of Hi-Dex contains: Iron in the form of iron dextran 100 mg/ml.

Contraindications

Hi-Dex is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to iron or to any component of the formulation. It should not be administered in cases of hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis, and other conditions associated with iron overload, as well as in patients with non-iron deficiency anemia.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of allergies, as well as in those with cardiovascular diseases. Monitoring of iron levels and other hematological parameters during treatment is recommended to prevent iron overload. In case of adverse reactions, the administration of the product should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.
