Indications

Havrix Ped is indicated for active immunization against hepatitis A in children aged 12 months and older. The vaccine stimulates the production of specific antibodies against the hepatitis A virus, providing protection against infection. It is recommended to administer the vaccine to children in areas of high hepatitis A endemicity or who are at risk of exposure to the virus, such as those traveling to regions where hepatitis A is common. Additionally, vaccination is suggested for individuals with conditions that increase the risk of infection, such as those with chronic liver diseases or who are receiving immunosuppressive treatment.

Composition

Each 0.5 mL syringe of Havrix Ped contains:

  • Inactivated hepatitis A virus
  • Excipients: sodium phosphate, sodium chloride, and water for injection.

Contraindications

Havrix Ped should not be administered in the following cases:

  • In patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the vaccine.
  • In individuals who have had a severe adverse reaction to previous doses of the vaccine.

Precautions

Special care should be taken in patients with acute febrile illness or moderate to severe infections. Vaccination should be postponed until recovery. Additionally, the patient's medical history should be evaluated to identify possible adverse reactions. It is important to inform about the possibility of side effects and the need to observe the patient after vaccination.

Storage

Havrix Ped should be stored refrigerated (2°C to 8°C). Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children. Check the expiration date before administration.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
