Indications

Graten (Morphine) is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain in patients requiring adequate pain management. Its use is particularly relevant in cases of acute postoperative pain, cancer pain, and in the management of pain in patients with advanced diseases. Morphine acts as an opioid analgesic that binds to opioid receptors in the central nervous system, providing pain relief and improving the patient's quality of life. Additionally, it can be used in the treatment of dyspnea in patients with respiratory insufficiency or in palliative care.

Composition

Each ampoule contains: Morphine as morphine sulfate, 10 mg/ml. Excipients: water for injection and other inert excipients.

Contraindications

Graten is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to morphine or any of its excipients. It should not be administered in cases of severe respiratory depression, acute or severe bronchial asthma, and in patients with skull injuries or a history of head trauma. It is also contraindicated in patients with paralytic ileus and in those receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of substance abuse, depression, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or liver and kidney problems. It is important to monitor the patient's response to treatment and adjust the dose as needed. Morphine can cause physical and psychological dependence, so its use must be evaluated and controlled by a physician.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
