Indications

Glioten is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. It is also used in the treatment of congestive heart failure, as it helps to improve cardiac function and reduce the workload on the heart. Additionally, it can be used in patients with left ventricular dysfunction after acute myocardial infarction, thereby contributing to the reduction of cardiovascular mortality risk.

Composition

Each Glioten tablet contains 10 mg of enalapril, as well as excipients necessary for the drug's formulation.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to enalapril or any other angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. It should not be administered to patients with bilateral renal artery stenosis or those with a history of angioedema associated with previous ACE inhibitor treatments. Likewise, its use is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of renovascular hypertension, renal insufficiency, or heart disease. It is important to monitor renal function and blood potassium levels during treatment, especially in elderly patients or those using diuretics. Regular blood pressure assessment is also recommended.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
