Indications
Glimetal Lex is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, especially in overweight patients who have not achieved adequate blood glucose control with metformin alone or in combination with other oral antidiabetics. This medication is used as part of a therapeutic regimen that includes an adequate diet and physical exercise, with the aim of improving glycemic control. It can also be used in combination with insulin in certain cases where a more intensive approach to glucose control is required.
Composition
Each Glimetal Lex tablet contains: 4 mg Glimepiride and 850 mg Metformin.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, in those with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe renal insufficiency, acute diseases affecting metabolism, and in pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless specifically indicated by a doctor.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, respiratory disease, or compromised renal function. Regular monitoring of renal function and blood glucose levels, as well as the presence of possible adverse effects, is essential. Additionally, the doctor should be informed of any other medications being used to avoid interactions.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
