Indications

Geslutin 200 mg is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to progesterone deficiency. This medication is used to regulate the menstrual cycle in women with irregularities, as well as for hormone replacement therapy in menopause. It is also used in the management of menstrual disorders and in cases of secondary amenorrhea. In the context of fertility, it is used to support the luteal phase and improve pregnancy rates in women who have undergone fertility treatments, such as artificial insemination or in vitro fertilization. Its use must be evaluated and supervised by a healthcare professional, who will determine the need and duration of treatment according to the individual characteristics of the patient.

Composition

Each Geslutin capsule contains 200 mg of progesterone as the active ingredient, along with excipients that facilitate its formulation and bioavailability.

Contraindications

Geslutin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to progesterone or any of the excipients. It should not be used in cases of undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, severe liver disease, a history of venous or arterial thrombosis, as well as in certain types of hormone-dependent cancer. It is essential for the doctor to evaluate the patient's medical history before initiating treatment.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of thromboembolic disorders, diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure, or cardiovascular diseases.
