Indications
Gaap Ofteno is indicated for the treatment of open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. This medication works by reducing intraocular pressure by increasing the drainage of aqueous humor. It is especially useful for patients who have not achieved adequate control of their ocular pressure with other medications. The use of Latanoprost must be supervised by a healthcare professional, who will evaluate the patient's response and adjust the treatment as needed.
Composition
Each ml of Gaap Ofteno contains 0.05 mg of Latanoprost as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the product. It is essential to read the labeling and product information to know all the components and their function.
Contraindications
Gaap Ofteno is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Latanoprost or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of ocular inflammation or conditions that may affect the ocular surface. Likewise, it should not be used in patients with angle-closure glaucoma.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of respiratory disorders, such as severe asthma. Also, contact of the dropper with the eye or contaminated surfaces should be avoided to prevent infections. Regular monitoring of intraocular pressure during treatment is advised. Patients are advised to inform their doctor about any other medications they are using, as interactions may occur.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
