Indications
Furacin Ointment is a medication indicated for the treatment of bacterial skin infections. Its action is based on the active ingredient nitrofural, which is effective against various gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. This medication is used in the management of infected wounds, burns, ulcers, and skin lesions where local antimicrobial action is required. Additionally, its use is recommended in surgical procedures where infection prevention is crucial. Topical application of Furacin helps accelerate the healing process and prevent infectious complications in the skin.
Composition
Each 100 g of Furacin Ointment contains: Nitrofural 0.2 g, excipients necessary to complete 100 g.
Contraindications
Furacin Ointment is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to nitrofural or any other component of the formula. It should not be applied to large wounds or third-degree burns. Likewise, its use is contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women without medical supervision.
Precautions
Special care should be taken when applying Furacin Ointment to extensive areas of the skin or in patients with pre-existing dermatological conditions. It is important to avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of irritation or adverse reaction, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. Simultaneous use with other topical medications is not recommended without a doctor's approval.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep the product in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
