Indications
Fucidin Mix H Cream is indicated for the treatment of various dermatological conditions that require the application of an antibiotic and a corticosteroid. It is especially useful in the management of skin infections that present inflammation, such as infectious dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, or eczema with bacterial superinfection. The combination of fusidic acid, which acts as an antibacterial, and hydrocortisone, which provides an anti-inflammatory effect, allows addressing both infection and inflammation in a single application, thus facilitating the skin's recovery process.
Composition
Each 100 g of cream contains: 20 mg of fusidic acid and 10 mg of hydrocortisone. Excipients: water-in-oil emulsion, glycerin, cetyl alcohol, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be applied to skin areas infected by viruses, fungi or parasites, nor to open wounds or mucous membranes. Its use is not recommended in cases of cutaneous tuberculosis or rosacea.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Fucidin Mix H Cream in patients with a history of recurrent skin infections or in those using immunosuppressive treatments. Prolonged use on large areas of skin and in children should be avoided, as they may be more susceptible to the systemic effects of corticosteroids.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C. Keep the tube tightly closed and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
