Indications
Fucicort cream is indicated for the treatment of bacterial skin infections that respond to the action of fusidic acid, as well as for the treatment of inflammatory dermatological conditions where the anti-inflammatory action of betamethasone is required. It is useful in cases of dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, and other inflammatory skin conditions that show signs of secondary infection. Its application helps reduce inflammation, itching, and redness, promoting the recovery of affected skin.
Composition
Each 100g of cream contains: 20mg of fusidic acid and 1mg of betamethasone. Excipients: purified water, liquid paraffin, microcrystalline wax, among others.
Contraindications
Fucicort cream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components. It should not be used in viral, fungal, or tuberculous skin infections, as well as in cases of rosacea or perioral dermatitis. Its use on large areas of skin or for prolonged periods is contraindicated to avoid systemic adverse effects.
Precautions
It should be used with caution in patients with a history of allergic reactions to corticosteroids. Its use is not recommended on areas with open wounds or extensive lesions. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If no improvement is observed after two weeks of treatment, therapy should be reevaluated.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
