Indications
Fontanivio is indicated for the treatment of mental disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. This medication helps control symptoms of these conditions, such as delusions, hallucinations, and thought disturbances. Additionally, it is used in the treatment of manic episodes in patients with bipolar disorder, as well as in preventing relapses in individuals who have previously responded to olanzapine therapy.
Composition
Each Fontanivio tablet contains 5 mg of olanzapine as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as lactose, starch, and magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Fontanivio is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to olanzapine or any of the formula's components. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe liver disease or those receiving treatments that inhibit olanzapine metabolism.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, or a history of seizures. Regular monitoring of vital signs and blood glucose levels is important during treatment. Fontanivio administration should be supervised by a mental health specialist.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
