Indications

Folivital 4Mg is indicated for the prevention and treatment of folic acid deficiency in the body. It is especially important in situations such as pregnancy, where an increased intake of this nutrient is required to aid in proper fetal development and prevent neural tube defects. It is also recommended in cases of megaloblastic anemia and for patients with folate-deficient diets.

Composition

Each Folivital 4Mg tablet contains: 4 mg of folic acid. Excipients: lactose, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Folivital 4Mg is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to folic acid or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in the presence of undiagnosed anemia, as it may mask vitamin B12 deficiencies.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures, as high doses of folic acid can decrease the effectiveness of some anticonvulsants. Likewise, it is essential to consult a doctor before starting use in patients with pre-existing medical conditions or who are taking other medications that may interact.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
