Folivital 0.4 mg is indicated for the prevention and treatment of folic acid deficiencies in the body. It is essential for DNA synthesis and red blood cell formation, so it can be used in situations such as pregnancy, where a greater intake of this nutrient is required. It is also recommended in cases of megaloblastic anemia, gastrointestinal diseases that prevent adequate nutrient absorption, and in patients with restrictive diets or nutritional deficiencies. Its administration is fundamental for the correct formation of the neural tube in fetuses, contributing to the reduction of the risk of congenital malformations.
Composition
Each Folivital tablet contains 0.4 mg of folic acid as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Folivital is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to folic acid or any of the components of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in cases of undiagnosed anemia, as folic acid can mask vitamin B12 deficiency.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Folivital to patients with a history of seizures, as it may increase the risk of crises. Likewise, it is important to have medical supervision during treatment, especially in pregnant or breastfeeding women, to ensure adequate monitoring of nutritional status. Self-medication is not recommended.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
