Indications
Fluoxac is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, bulimia nervosa, and anxiety disorders. This medication acts as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), which helps increase serotonin levels in the brain, contributing to mood improvement and anxiety reduction. It is important that the use of Fluoxac be supervised by a physician, who can determine the appropriate dosage and duration of treatment according to the specific needs of the patient.
Composition
Each Fluoxac tablet contains 20 mg of fluoxetine as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Fluoxac is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to fluoxetine or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and in patients undergoing treatment with thioridazine. Its use is also contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation, unless deemed strictly necessary by the physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizure disorders, mania, or hypomania. It is essential to monitor the patient's condition during treatment, especially at the beginning, and adjust the dose if necessary. Furthermore, co-administration with alcohol and other central nervous system depressants is recommended to be avoided.

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
