Indications
Fluoning is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. It is used in the treatment of lower respiratory tract infections, such as community-acquired pneumonia and acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis. It is also indicated for urinary tract infections, including pyelonephritis and cystitis. In addition, it is indicated for the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections, as well as complicated intra-abdominal infections. Its use is effective in adults and in some specific cases in pediatric patients, always under medical supervision.
Composition
Each Fluoning tablet contains 500 mg of levofloxacin as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that allow the formulation of the medicine.
Contraindications
Fluoning is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to levofloxacin, to other fluoroquinolone antibiotics, or to any component of the formulation. It should not be administered to patients with a history of tendinitis or tendon rupture, as well as in those with a history of epilepsy or seizures. Its use in children and adolescents is contraindicated, except in specific cases under strict medical supervision.
Precautions
Precautions should be taken in patients with kidney diseases, as the dose may require adjustment. Monitoring is recommended for patients with a history of central nervous system diseases, as well as in those who are being treated with other medications that may affect the nervous system. It is important to avoid excessive exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light sources during treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
