Indications
Flixotide Aerosol is indicated for the treatment of patients with asthma, including those requiring maintenance therapy. It is also indicated for the treatment and prevention of symptoms in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This medication acts as an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid, helping to reduce inflammation and facilitate breathing in patients suffering from chronic respiratory conditions. Regular use is recommended for symptom control and prevention of asthmatic exacerbations.
Composition
Each dose of Flixotide Aerosol contains 250 mcg of fluticasone propionate as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that aid in the aerosol formulation.
Contraindications
Flixotide Aerosol is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fluticasone or to any of the product's excipients. It is also contraindicated in the treatment of acute asthmatic crises where a fast-acting bronchodilator is required.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with pulmonary infections, active or latent tuberculosis, and in those with conditions that may exacerbate immunosuppression. It is important to monitor patients on long-term treatment for signs of systemic corticosteroid effects.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from direct light and out of the reach of children. Do not expose to temperatures above 50°C.
