Indications
Flanax is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate pain, including headache, dental pain, dysmenorrhea, and muscle pain. It is also used in the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Its anti-inflammatory and analgesic action makes it a useful option for the management of pain associated with sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions. Naproxen acts by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are mediators of pain and inflammation.
Composition
Each tablet contains 550 mg of Naproxen as the active ingredient. Excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Flanax is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Naproxen or to any of the excipients in the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with active gastric or duodenal ulcers, severe renal insufficiency, and in those with bleeding disorders or who are receiving anticoagulants.
Precautions
It should be used with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, hypertension, mild to moderate heart or kidney failure. Renal function should be evaluated in patients using the medication long-term. Its use is not recommended during the third trimester of pregnancy. In case of adverse reactions, treatment should be discontinued.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
