Indications
Flanax is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation in various conditions. It is commonly used to relieve headache, muscle pain, dental pain, dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain), and in the management of inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It is also used for the treatment of fever and in acute and chronic inflammatory processes. Its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect is due to the inhibition of prostaglandins, which are chemical mediators involved in inflammation and pain.
Composition
Each Flanax tablet contains 550 mg of Naproxen as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients such as starch, talc, and other inactive components that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Naproxen or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is not recommended in patients with a history of peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal insufficiency, and in those suffering from severe cardiovascular diseases. Its use should be avoided in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of asthma, gastrointestinal problems, hypertension, heart failure, or kidney disease. It is advisable to monitor patients who are being treated with anticoagulants or who have conditions that may increase the risk of adverse effects. Its use in combination with other NSAIDs is not recommended.
Storage
Flanax should be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. The ideal storage temperature is between 15 and 30 °C.
