Indications
Flagenase is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to metronidazole, including central nervous system infections, abdominal infections, gynecological infections, skin and soft tissue infections, as well as dental infections. It is also used in the treatment of intestinal and extraintestinal amebiasis, as well as bacterial vaginosis. This medication acts against anaerobic bacteria and certain protozoa, exhibiting effective antimicrobial activity in various clinical conditions.
Composition
Each Flagenase tablet contains 500 mg of metronidazole as the active ingredient. Excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Flagenase is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to metronidazole or to any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered to patients with a history of central nervous system disease, or to patients who consume alcohol, as it can cause severe adverse reactions.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using it in patients with liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those with a history of neurological disorders. Monitoring of liver function is recommended during prolonged treatment. Likewise, alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment and up to 48 hours after the last dose.

Store at room temperature, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
