Indications

Fermig is indicated for the acute treatment of migraine with or without aura in adults. Sumatriptan, its active ingredient, acts as a selective serotonin receptor agonist (5-HT1B and 5-HT1D), causing vasoconstriction of blood vessels in the brain and decreasing the release of inflammatory peptides that contribute to migraine. This medication is effective in relieving symptoms such as severe headache, nausea, and sensitivity to light or sound associated with migraine episodes.

Composition

Each Fermig tablet contains 100 mg of sumatriptan as an active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for its formulation.

Contraindications

Fermig should not be used in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to sumatriptan or any of the components of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with relevant cardiovascular diseases, such as angina pectoris, previous myocardial infarction, or in those with uncontrolled hypertension. Its use in pregnant or breastfeeding women should be evaluated by a doctor.

Precautions

Caution is advised in patients with cardiovascular risk factors, a history of epilepsy, or in those taking other medications that affect serotonin. It is important to inform the doctor about all pre-existing medical conditions and medications being used to avoid adverse interactions.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
