Indications

Fer-In-Sol is a medication indicated for the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency and iron-deficiency anemia in patients requiring additional iron intake. It is particularly useful in situations such as pregnancy, lactation, and in cases of hemorrhage or iron-deficient diets. Ferrous sulfate, its active ingredient, facilitates hemoglobin formation and improves tissue oxygenation. Its use is recommended in patients with increased iron needs, as well as in those with intestinal malabsorption or who are undergoing treatments that decrease iron absorption.

Composition

Each 1 ml of solution contains 75 mg of ferrous sulfate. Excipients: purified water, hydrochloric acid, and other excipients.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ferrous sulfate or to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in patients with hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis, or non-iron-deficiency anemia, as well as in those who present active gastrointestinal diseases that may compromise iron absorption.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering the product to patients with a history of peptic ulcers or colitis, as well as to those who are being treated with other iron supplements. It is important to monitor blood iron levels to avoid iron overload. Simultaneous use with antacids containing calcium, magnesium, or aluminum is not recommended, as they can interfere with iron absorption.

Keep the bottle tightly closed at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
