Indications
Fenidantoin S is indicated for the treatment of epileptic seizures, including partial and generalized seizures. Phenytoin is an anticonvulsant that acts by stabilizing neuronal membranes and reducing neuronal excitability, which is essential in the management of various forms of epilepsy. This medication is also used for the prophylaxis of postoperative seizures in surgical patients, as well as in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias related to the heart's conduction system.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Phenytoin Sodium 100 mg. Excipients: starch, talc, gelatin, and others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to phenytoin or any of the formulation components. It is also contraindicated in patients with atrioventricular block and in those with a history of severe skin reactions after phenytoin use.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, hematological problems, and in those receiving other medications that may interact with phenytoin. It is important to monitor plasma phenytoin levels, especially at the start of treatment or when modifying the dose, as well as in situations that may alter its metabolism, such as changes in liver function or the use of other drugs.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
