Indications
Fapris is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders in adults. Its use is based on desvenlafaxine's ability to increase serotonin and norepinephrine concentrations in the central nervous system, which contributes to an improved mood and a reduction in symptoms associated with depression. Additionally, it can be used in the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder, helping to decrease anxiety and improve the quality of life of patients.
Composition
Each Fapris tablet contains 50 mg of desvenlafaxine as the active ingredient. Excipients include: lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and other inert excipients that allow for the formulation of the medicine into tablets.
Contraindications
Fapris is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to desvenlafaxine or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of serotonin syndrome or in those receiving treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). It is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizure disorders, mania, or hypomania. Use in patients with arterial hypertension should also be carefully evaluated, as it may cause an increase in blood pressure. It is important to monitor patients during treatment initiation and when adjusting the dose, due to the risk of suicidal thoughts in young patients.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
