Indications
Falot (Cephalothin) is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by organisms susceptible to cephalothin. This antibiotic is effective in the treatment of respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, and in the prophylaxis of surgical infections. It is also used in the treatment of osteoarticular infections and in patients with bacterial endocarditis, always under the supervision of a physician. Cephalothin acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell death of the microorganism.
Composition
Each Falot ampoule contains 1 g of cephalothin as an active ingredient. Additionally, it may include excipients necessary for the product formulation.
Contraindications
Falot is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cephalothin, other cephalosporin antibiotics, or any component of the formulation. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to beta-lactam antibiotics.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, especially colitis. In case of allergic reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. It is important to monitor renal function in patients receiving prolonged treatment, and in those with risk factors for renal toxicity.
Storage
Falot should be stored at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
