Indications
Facidex Total is indicated for the treatment of conditions related to excessive acid production in the stomach. It is used in the prevention and treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as reflux esophagitis. In addition, it is useful for neutralizing excess acid in the stomach, relieving symptoms such as heartburn, indigestion, and epigastric discomfort. This medication may be indicated for patients who require gastric pH control, as well as for those who experience symptoms of gastritis or dyspepsia. It is important that the use of this medication be under the supervision of a healthcare professional, who will determine the duration of treatment and the appropriate dosage according to the patient's needs.
Composition
Each Facidex Total tablet contains: Famotidine 20 mg, Magnesium Hydroxide 165 mg, and Calcium Carbonate 800 mg.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other medications in the same group. In addition, caution should be exercised in patients with severe renal or hepatic insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution is recommended when using Facidex Total in patients with kidney disease, as the elimination of the active components may be affected. Likewise, the possibility of drug interactions with other medications the patient is taking should be evaluated. Regular medical follow-up is recommended during treatment.
