Indications
Exotib is indicated for the treatment of primary hypercholesterolemia (heterozygous familial and non-familial type) and mixed dyslipidemia, in combination with an appropriate diet. It is used as an adjunctive therapy to statins in adults, when an additional reduction in LDL cholesterol (low-density lipoproteins) is needed. Furthermore, it may be indicated in patients who cannot tolerate statins or who require an alternative therapeutic approach. Exotib works by inhibiting the intestinal absorption of cholesterol, which contributes to the reduction of blood cholesterol levels and improves the patient's lipid profile.
Composition
Each Exotib tablet contains 10 mg of Ezetimibe as the active ingredient. Excipients: lactose, starch, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Exotib is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ezetimibe or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with active liver disease or in those who have had persistent elevations of transaminases. It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, as well as in those taking other medications that may affect Ezetimibe metabolism. It is important to monitor liver function in patients receiving Exotib therapy, especially in those with risk factors. Likewise, the possibility of adverse reactions and interactions with other drugs should be considered.

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C). Keep out of reach of children.
