Indications

Exforge Hct is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adult patients. This combination of amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, and hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic, acts synergistically to reduce blood pressure. It is indicated for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy or those who require additional control.

Composition

Each film-coated tablet contains:

  • Amlodipine: 5 mg
  • Valsartan: 160 mg
  • Hydrochlorothiazide: 12.5 mg

Contraindications

Exforge Hct is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in patients with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with ACE inhibitors, in those with severe hypotension, and in patients with severe renal insufficiency.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, hepatic or renal insufficiency, as well as in those taking other medications that may interact with the components of Exforge Hct. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is important during treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
