Indications
Exforge Hct is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension in patients requiring a combination of a calcium channel blocker (Amlodipine), an angiotensin II receptor antagonist (Valsartan), and a thiazide diuretic (Hydrochlorothiazide). This medication is used in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy. The combination of these three active ingredients has been shown to provide an additive antihypertensive effect, improving blood pressure control and reducing the risk of cardiovascular events associated with hypertension.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Amlodipine 10 mg, Valsartan 320 mg, Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg.
Contraindications
Exforge Hct is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in patients with a history of angioedema, in patients with severe aortic stenosis, in patients with severe renal failure, and in those with hypotension.
Precautions
This medication should be used with caution in patients with hepatic impairment, moderate renal impairment, or in those who are being treated with other antihypertensive drugs. It is important to monitor blood pressure regularly and adjust the dose if necessary. In addition, caution should be exercised when administering to elderly patients or those with pre-existing cardiovascular conditions.
