Indications
Exforge is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension in adults. This medication combines two antihypertensive agents: amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, and valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. The combination of these two components allows for more effective blood pressure control, improving treatment adherence in patients who require multiple antihypertensive drugs. It can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other antihypertensives, as determined by the treating physician.
Composition
Each Exforge tablet contains 10 mg of amlodipine (as besylate) and 320 mg of valsartan, in addition to excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, starch, and other additives that facilitate tablet formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to amlodipine, valsartan, or any component of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with severe hepatic impairment, pregnancy, lactation, or those with aortic stenosis or obstructive cardiomyopathy.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of angioedema, renal or hepatic impairment, as well as those undergoing treatment with diuretics. Blood pressure and renal function should be monitored at the start of treatment and throughout. Additionally, its use in patients over 65 years of age should be carefully evaluated.

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
