Indications

Excelsior (Salicylic Acid) Ointment is indicated for the treatment of various dermatological conditions, including keratosis, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, and other conditions that require the removal of dead skin cells. Its keratolytic action helps to soften and remove scales and blemishes, facilitating the cell regeneration process. It can also be used in the treatment of warts, calluses, and other skin growths, promoting the desquamation of the affected skin.

Composition

Each 100 g of ointment contains: Salicylic Acid 2 g. Excipients: Petrolatum, liquid paraffin, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to salicylic acid or any of its components. It should not be applied to open wounds, areas with dermatitis, or mucous membranes. Its use in children under 2 years of age is not recommended.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using this medication on sensitive or irritated skin. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If irritation or an adverse reaction occurs, discontinue use and consult a doctor. It is important to follow the healthcare professional's instructions and not to overuse, as it may cause adverse skin effects.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and protect from direct light.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
