Indications

Evocs Minibag 500 mg is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections. It is used in the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory infections, such as community-acquired pneumonia, acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, and acute sinusitis. It is also effective in the treatment of complicated urinary tract infections, including pyelonephritis and cystitis, as well as skin and soft tissue infections. Additionally, it can be used in the treatment of intra-abdominal infections and in cases of chronic bacterial prostatitis. This antibiotic acts by inhibiting bacterial DNA synthesis, resulting in a bactericidal action.

Composition

Each Evocs minibag contains 500 mg of levofloxacin, as well as excipients necessary for its formulation and stability.

Contraindications

Evocs is not recommended for use in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to levofloxacin, other fluoroquinolone-class drugs, or any of the product's excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with epilepsy or central nervous system disorders that predispose to seizures, as well as in those with severe renal insufficiency without appropriate dose adjustment.

Precautions

Care should be taken when administering Evocs to patients with renal insufficiency, in case of severe adverse reactions such as tendinitis or tendon rupture, and in patients with a history of cardiac disorders, as it can cause QT interval prolongation. Careful monitoring is recommended in elderly patients and in those taking other medications that may affect renal function.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. The storage temperature should not exceed 30 °C.
