Indications
Everest Gran (Montelukast) is indicated for the treatment of asthma in patients over 2 years of age, as an add-on therapy in patients who do not achieve adequate control with first-line medications. It is also used for the treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children who are older than 6 months. Montelukast acts as a leukotriene receptor antagonist, modulating the inflammatory response in the respiratory tract and helping to reduce symptoms such as dyspnea, wheezing, and nocturnal cough associated with asthma. In addition, it has been shown to improve lung function and reduce the need for rescue bronchodilator use.
Composition
Each Everest Gran tablet contains: Montelukast (4 mg), excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Everest Gran is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Montelukast or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in people who experience acute asthma episodes or who require intensive treatment with corticosteroids.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver diseases, as the pharmacokinetics of Montelukast may be altered. In addition, monitoring is recommended in patients with a history of allergic reactions. Corticosteroid treatment should not be discontinued without medical supervision. In case of allergic reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
