Indications
Everest (Montelukast) is indicated for the treatment and prevention of asthma symptoms in patients aged 6 months and older. It is also used for the relief of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis. Montelukast works by blocking the action of leukotrienes, chemical substances in the body that cause inflammation and constriction of the airways. Its use can help improve lung function and reduce the need for relief medications, such as short-acting bronchodilators.
Composition
Each Everest tablet contains 5 mg of Montelukast as the active ingredient and excipients sufficient to complete the formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to montelukast or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients experiencing acute asthma attacks.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with severe liver disease, as drug elimination may be affected. It is recommended to evaluate the respiratory function of patients presenting with uncontrolled asthma symptoms. Treatment should not be interrupted without consulting a physician, especially in patients with persistent asthma.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
