Indications
Everest (Montelukast) is indicated for the treatment and prevention of asthma in patients over 12 months of age, as well as the relief of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis. This medication works by blocking leukotriene receptors, which reduces inflammation and constriction of the airways. Its use is recommended as maintenance therapy for asthma control and for the prevention of nocturnal symptoms. Additionally, it can be used for the prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm in children and adults.
Composition
Each Everest tablet contains 5 mg of Montelukast as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, lactose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Montelukast or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used as a treatment for acute asthma or during asthma attacks.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of psychiatric disorders. The use of Montelukast may be associated with changes in behavior and activity, so patients should be monitored for symptoms such as aggression, anxiety, or depression. If these symptoms appear, a doctor should be consulted.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
