Indications

Evemglea Fem (Cabergoline) is indicated for the treatment of disorders related to excessive prolactin secretion, such as hyperprolactinemia and its clinical manifestations, which may include amenorrhea, galactorrhea, and infertility. This medication acts as a dopamine agonist, which helps reduce prolactin levels in the body. It may also be used in the management of Cushing's syndrome due to its ability to inhibit ACTH secretion and, therefore, cortisol production in patients with ACTH-producing pituitary adenomas. It is important that the use of Evemglea be supervised by a physician, who will determine the dose and duration of treatment according to the individual needs of the patient.

Composition

Each Evemglea Fem tablet contains 0.5 mg of Cabergoline as the active ingredient. Excipients include: lactose, starch, povidone, and magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Evemglea is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cabergoline or any of the excipients. It should not be used in patients with a history of severe cardiovascular disease, as well as those with severe psychiatric disorders. Likewise, its use is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation, unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of cardiovascular disorders, hypertension, or psychiatric illnesses. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and evaluation of treatment response are important. Patients should be informed about the risk of somnolence, especially when starting treatment, and should be advised to avoid activities requiring full attention until its effect is known.
