Indications

Eutirox is indicated for the treatment of hypothyroidism, a condition in which the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormones. It is also used in cases of goiter, either as a replacement therapy or in combination with other medications. This medication is essential for regulating metabolism and growth, and can be used in the treatment of certain types of thyroid cancer, as well as in the prophylaxis of postoperative goiters.

Composition

Each Eutirox tablet contains 75 mcg of levothyroxine sodium as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and proper administration of the medication.

Contraindications

Eutirox is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to levothyroxine or any of the excipients. It should not be used in cases of untreated hyperthyroidism, uncontrolled adrenal insufficiency, or in patients with severe cardiovascular diseases such as recent myocardial infarction or decompensated cardiomyopathy.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Eutirox to patients with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, or coagulation problems. Furthermore, it is important to monitor hormone levels in patients undergoing treatment and adjust the dose as necessary. Use in pregnant women should be carefully evaluated, as maintaining adequate thyroid hormone levels during pregnancy is essential.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
