Indications

Eucaliptine (Guaiacol) is indicated for the treatment of respiratory conditions accompanied by dry or productive cough. Its action focuses on facilitating expectoration and relieving respiratory tract irritation. This medication is useful in cases of bronchitis, common colds, and in conditions where symptomatic cough management is required. It is important to note that its use should be guided by a physician, who will assess the need for treatment based on the patient's clinical condition.

Composition

Each Eucaliptine ampoule contains 100 mg of guaiacol in 1 ml of solution.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to guaiacol or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe gastrointestinal diseases or those with active bleeding.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of peptic ulcer, as guaiacol can cause gastrointestinal irritation. Likewise, the use of this medication should be evaluated in patients with liver or kidney diseases, as dose adjustments may be required. It is essential to follow medical instructions and not exceed the recommended dose.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
