Indications
Etubrol-Duo is indicated for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, a form of dementia that affects memory, thinking, and behavior. The combination of Memantine and Donepezil acts on different mechanisms involved in the progression of the disease, thus improving patients' cognitive functions and quality of life. Its use is recommended in patients with a confirmed diagnosis of mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease, where comprehensive management of disease-associated symptoms is sought.
Composition
Each Etubrol-Duo capsule contains: 28 mg of Memantine and 10 mg of Donepezil.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Additionally, its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe adverse reactions to other acetylcholinesterase inhibitors.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Etubrol-Duo to patients with a history of seizures, heart disease, or conditions that may predispose to a decrease in heart rate. It is important to monitor liver and kidney function in patients receiving this treatment, and to adjust the dose if necessary.
