Indications
Esthipia is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections in various locations. It is effective in the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory infections, including community-acquired pneumonia and exacerbations of chronic bronchitis. It is also used for skin and soft tissue infections, as well as in cases of acute bacterial sinusitis. This medication is particularly useful for infections caused by strains resistant to other antibiotics, thanks to its broad spectrum of action against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Its use should be guided by cultures and susceptibility tests, when possible.
Composition
Each Esthipia tablet contains 400 mg of moxifloxacin as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Esthipia is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to moxifloxacin, other fluoroquinolone antibiotics, or any component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of tendinopathy related to fluoroquinolone use. Its use during pregnancy and lactation should be carefully evaluated by a physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of central nervous system disease, including epilepsy. Prolonged exposure to sunlight and concomitant use with medications that may prolong the QT interval should be avoided. Renal function should be evaluated before starting treatment, and the dose should be adjusted in cases of moderate to severe renal insufficiency.

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30°C. Keep the container tightly closed and protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
