Indications
Espaven Alcalino Suspension is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of gastric hyperacidity and the relief of symptoms associated with dyspepsia, such as heartburn, burning sensation, and indigestion. Its formulation helps neutralize excess acid in the stomach and provides a protective effect on the gastric mucosa. This medication is also useful in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders such as gastritis, as well as in the prevention of discomfort caused by the intake of irritating foods or in stressful situations that may increase acid production in the stomach.
Composition
Each 5 ml of Espaven Alcalino Suspension contains:
- Magnesium Carbonate: 200 mg
- Aluminum Hydroxide: 200 mg
- Simethicone: 40 mg
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in cases of intestinal obstruction or in patients with severe renal insufficiency, as it may affect renal function. Likewise, it should not be administered in combination with other medications containing aluminum or magnesium without medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney disease or in those who are undergoing treatment that may affect electrolyte balance. It is important to consult a doctor before starting treatment if any persistent or severe symptoms in the digestive system occur. Prolonged use of this medication is not recommended without the supervision of a healthcare professional.
