Indications

Espaven Alkalino is indicated for the treatment of dyspepsia and gastrointestinal discomfort that may be caused by excess stomach acid. It is useful in the management of symptoms such as heartburn, gastritis, and flatulence. This medication works by neutralizing excess gastric acid and promoting the elimination of gases, thus providing symptomatic relief in conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux and indigestion. Its use is recommended in patients presenting digestive disorders related to excessive acid production or the formation of intestinal gases.

Composition

Each tablet of Espaven Alkalino contains: 300 mg of Dimethicone, 50 mg of Aluminum Hydroxide, and 40 mg of Magnesium Hydroxide.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of its components. It should not be used in individuals with severe kidney disease or in cases of intestinal obstruction. Its use is also contraindicated in patients with hypophosphatemia or who are being treated with other aluminum-containing medications, as it may increase the risk of toxicity.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of kidney disease, as prolonged use can result in aluminum accumulation. Furthermore, the use of this medication in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in patients receiving treatment with other drugs, should be evaluated due to potential interactions.
