Indications
Eskapar is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic non-bacterial diarrhea. Its action is based on reducing the frequency and intensity of bowel movements, as well as alleviating symptoms associated with diarrhea. It is effective in managing diarrheal conditions of various etiologies, including those caused by dietary changes, stress, or viral infections. Furthermore, it can be used as an adjunct in the treatment of uncomplicated gastrointestinal infectious processes. Eskapar is recommended to be administered together with adequate oral rehydration. It is important to follow medical instructions to ensure proper recovery.
Composition
Each 5 ml of suspension contains: Nifuroxazide 220 mg. Excipients: purified water, glycerin, flavoring, among others.
Contraindications
Eskapar is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to nifuroxazide or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in cases of bloody diarrhea or high fever, as well as in patients with chronic inflammatory bowel diseases. Its use in children under 2 years of age must be supervised by a physician.
Precautions
It is important to use Eskapar with caution in patients with a history of liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those who are being treated with other medications. Care should be taken when administering to elderly patients and those with pre-existing medical conditions. It is recommended to evaluate the patient's progress and the need to continue treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
