Indications
Eskapar is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to its components. Nifuroxazide is an antibacterial that acts locally in the intestine, being effective against pathogenic bacteria. Metronidazole is an antiprotozoal that also has antibacterial activity, and is used in the treatment of protozoal infections as well as in some cases of anaerobic bacterial infections. Eskapar is commonly used in cases of acute and chronic infectious diarrhea, as well as in the treatment of Giardia lamblia and other intestinal infections.
Composition
Each Eskapar capsule contains 200 mg of Nifuroxazide and 600 mg of Metronidazole as active ingredients. It also contains excipients such as starch, gelatin, and other inactive ingredients.
Contraindications
The use of Eskapar is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the formula's components. Its use is not recommended in patients with neurological diseases, a history of hematological disorders, or in those with severe liver disease.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with central nervous system diseases, as well as in those with a history of hematological disorders. The administration of Eskapar should be supervised in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency and in pregnant or breastfeeding women, and it is recommended to consult a physician in these cases.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
