Indications
Eskapar is indicated for the treatment of acute non-bacterial diarrhea, including those of viral origin and those associated with gastrointestinal infections. Additionally, it is used in the treatment of diarrheal conditions that do not require specific antibiotic therapy. This medication acts on the intestinal flora, promoting the restoration of balance and reducing the frequency and severity of bowel movements. Its use is recommended for adults and children over 6 years of age, always under the supervision of a doctor.
Composition
Each Eskapar capsule contains 200 mg of nifuroxazide as an active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the medication.
Contraindications
Eskapar is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to nifuroxazide or to any of the product's excipients. It should not be administered to patients with bloody diarrhea or high fever, as well as in cases of bacterial infections requiring specific antibiotics. Its use is contraindicated in children under 6 years of age.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with chronic gastrointestinal diseases and in those with a history of allergic reactions. It is important not to use Eskapar as a substitute for rehydration, and if no improvement is observed within the first 24-48 hours of treatment, a doctor should be consulted. Furthermore, prolonged use of the medication without medical supervision should be avoided.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
