Indications

Entresto is indicated for the treatment of chronic heart failure in adults with reduced ejection fraction, with the aim of reducing the risk of hospitalization for heart failure and improving survival. This medication works by inhibiting the renin-angiotensin system and reducing blood pressure, which helps to decrease the heart's workload. It is important that the use of Entresto is accompanied by appropriate medical monitoring to optimize the benefits of the treatment.

Composition

Each Entresto tablet contains 50 mg of Sacubitril and 50 mg of Valsartan as active ingredients. It also contains excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Entresto is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Sacubitril, Valsartan, or any other component of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with ACE inhibitors or with a history of hereditary or idiopathic angioedema. It should not be administered during pregnancy or lactation, as well as in patients with bilateral renal artery stenosis or those with severe renal failure.

Precautions

Special care should be taken in patients with a history of hypotension, renal dysfunction, and those receiving diuretics. It is advisable to monitor kidney function before and during treatment. In addition, appropriate monitoring of blood potassium levels should be carried out, as well as regular assessment of blood pressure.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
