Indications
Entresto is indicated for the treatment of chronic heart failure in adult patients. Its use is recommended in those with reduced ejection fraction to improve survival, decrease heart failure hospitalizations, and improve quality of life. Entresto has been shown to reduce the risk of adverse cardiovascular events in patients with heart failure and left ventricular systolic dysfunction. The combination of sacubitril, a neprilysin inhibitor, and valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, acts synergistically to provide a beneficial effect in reducing blood pressure and hemodynamic load on the heart.
Composition
Each Entresto tablet contains 200 mg of sacubitril and 160 mg of valsartan as active ingredients, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medicine.
Contraindications
Entresto is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, in those who have experienced angioedema related to previous treatments with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) or angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs), and in patients with a history of angioedema. Furthermore, it should not be administered during pregnancy and lactation.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Entresto to patients with compromised renal function, as well as in those with a history of hypotension. It is important to monitor blood pressure and electrolytes during treatment. It is recommended to avoid volume depletion before initiating treatment.

Entresto should be stored at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
