Indications
Engerix B Ped is indicated for active immunization against hepatitis B virus infection in children and adolescents. Vaccination is especially recommended for those at high risk of exposure, including, but not limited to, individuals who have frequent contact with infected people, those who require invasive medical treatments, or who have conditions that predispose them to hepatitis B. It is also recommended for the prevention of hepatitis B in specific epidemiological situations, such as during disease outbreaks.
Composition
Each 0.5 mL dose contains purified hepatitis B virus surface antigen (HBsAg) adsorbed to aluminum hydroxide. In addition, excipients are included to ensure the stability and efficacy of the vaccine.
Contraindications
Engerix B Ped is contraindicated in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to any component of the vaccine, as well as in individuals who have experienced severe adverse reactions to previous doses of the same vaccine or other hepatitis B vaccines. Furthermore, it should not be administered during an acute febrile illness or active infection.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of neurological diseases or seizures, as vaccine administration may require a more detailed medical evaluation. It is also suggested to monitor patients with immunosuppressive conditions, as their response to the vaccine might be suboptimal.
Storage
Engerix B Ped should be stored refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children and protect from direct light.

- FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
