Indications

Enekamub (Gemcitabine) is indicated for the treatment of various types of cancer, including but not limited to: pancreatic cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, bladder cancer, and metastatic breast cancer. Gemcitabine works by interfering with DNA synthesis, which prevents the proliferation of cancer cells and contributes to their destruction. This medication is administered under the supervision of a healthcare professional, who will determine the most appropriate dose and treatment regimen for each patient, considering factors such as the type and stage of cancer, as well as the patient's general health.

Composition

Each ampule of Enekamub contains 1g of gemcitabine as the active ingredient. It also includes excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.

Contraindications

Enekamub is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to gemcitabine or any of the product's excipients. It should not be administered to patients with severe active infections, or those with severe renal or hepatic impairment. The safety and efficacy in pregnant or breastfeeding women have not been established, so its use is recommended to be avoided in these conditions.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Enekamub to patients with a history of lung diseases, heart diseases, or hematological problems. It is essential to monitor blood counts because gemcitabine can cause myelosuppression, which increases the risk of infections, anemia, and hemorrhages. Renal and hepatic function levels should also be evaluated before and during treatment.

Storage

The medication should be stored at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, protected from light and moisture. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
