Indications

Enaladil is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension. Its use is recommended in patients with essential hypertension, as well as in those with heart failure. This medication acts as an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, which causes a decrease in blood pressure and an improvement in heart function. In addition, it can be used in the management of diabetic nephropathy, helping to protect renal function in diabetic patients.

Composition

Each Enaladil tablet contains 20 mg of enalapril as the active ingredient. Excipients include: lactose, corn starch, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Enaladil is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to enalapril or other ACE inhibitors. It should not be administered in cases of bilateral renal artery stenosis or in patients with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with ACE inhibitors. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions

Special care should be taken in patients with renal failure, liver diseases, or those who are being treated with diuretics. It is important to monitor blood pressure in patients initiating treatment with Enaladil, as well as blood potassium levels, as it can cause hyperkalemia. Regular medical follow-up is recommended during treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
