Indications

Enaladil is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension in adults. Its use is appropriate for patients with congestive heart failure, as well as for the prevention of complications in patients with left ventricular dysfunction after acute myocardial infarction. It is also used to reduce mortality in patients with established cardiovascular disease.

Composition

Each tablet contains 10 mg of Enalapril as active ingredient. Excipients: lactose, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Enaladil is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to enalapril or any other angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEI), as well as in those with prior angioedema related to ACEI treatments. It should not be administered during pregnancy and lactation, nor in patients with bilateral renal artery stenosis or severe renal insufficiency.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Enaladil to patients with a history of angioedema, renal insufficiency, or who are undergoing diuretic treatment. Renal function and serum electrolytes should be monitored, especially at the beginning of treatment. It may cause dizziness or hypotension, so it is advisable to avoid activities requiring attention until the response to treatment is known.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
